It's hard to believe that the Civic DX Coupe can get more sporty, but it can and it did. The DX Coupe gets a powerful 1.7-liter, 115-hp, 4-cylinder SOHC engine and features an Immobilizer Theft-Deterrent System and available front side airbags to help keep you and your Civic out of harm's way.
LX
The Civic LX Coupe continues to be the most popular model in the lineup due to its amenity-rich packaging. Adding to the DX Coupe, you get power windows, mirrors and door locks, air conditioning with an air-filtration system, cruise control, a front-passenger walk-in seat with memory and an AM/FM/cassette audio system.
HX
The Civic HX Coupe is an excellent combination of performance and efficiency. Its 1.7-liter, 117-hp VTEC®-E lean-burn engine is one of the most fuel-efficient around. With its standard manual transmission, the HX Coupe gets an incredible 36 mpg city/44 mpg highway. You also get power mirrors and door locks, cruise control and a tachometer. There's an available continuously variable transmission (CVT) and, like all Civics, the HX is rated as an Ultra-Low-Emission Vehicle (ULEV).
EX
Every family needs an overachiever, and the EX Coupe is the Civic's top standout.
